Canon Point: S07E12 - before Simmons assembles the machine to bring Fitz back

Plans: I want to explore Deke as a character more. While he does have a fair amount of character growth in canon, I still feel like there are places to go and things to do and I think this is a good place for that.
Deke definitely has quite hedonistic tendencies, so I think he will have a good enough time in town and try to be helpful by making use of his scientific and engineering-based knowledge. He is already a fish out of water on present-day Earth compared to his dystopian future of origin but I think it'll be interesting how he'll deal with an even earlier time period and setting.
Arrival: He came willingly!
TDM: It's as if he is waking from a weird dream. One moment Deke finds himself surrounded by his teammates, expectantly watching Nana as she tried to remember how to bring Bobo back, how to assemble that machine. She keeps repeating the same phrase and just when something clicks and she moves her wedding band towards the machine to start it up, Dean blinks and is gone, suddenly somewhere else.
There is a woman in front of him and she is all he can see for the moment. She's pretty, this Clemmy, he has to admit that, but in a way that makes her seem too perfect. Too approachable, too nice, too trustworthy. Maybe she just isn't his type, maybe he'd prefer someone who's always a little pissed off at him - let's not follow that train of thought too closely.
But she keeps talking, explaining about the town of Filthvale - now that's a name! - offering him a new start and ... he finds himself saying "Why not" before he can overthink it.
It sounds appealing, too tempting to say no. And he gets to help this town reach its full potential in a way? That sounds like a good deal. Maybe here he can finally make a difference in a way nobody can dismiss or disregard.
